All settings are under WooCommerce › Settings › Products › Lowest price (Omnibus).
Enable
Turns the notice, the strikethrough change and the badge change on or off for the whole shop. Price history keeps being recorded either way.
Show on
- Single product pages, including each variation.
- Shop, category and other product lists.
Position on product pages
- Right under the price (recommended).
- Under the short description (classic themes).
- Under the add-to-cart button (classic themes).
- Nowhere: place it yourself with the block, the shortcode or the Elementor widget. See Where the notice appears.
Show for
- Reduced products only: what the law requires.
- All products: shows the lowest price of the last 30 days on every product, even without a sale.
Strikethrough price
- Lowest price of the 30 days before the reduction (recommended): follows CJEU case C-330/23.
- Regular price: the WooCommerce default. Use only if you have a specific reason.
Sale badge
- Theme default (“Sale!”).
- Percentage calculated from the 30-day lowest price and rounded down, so it never overstates the saving.
Fake discount guard
On by default. If the sale price is not actually below the 30-day lowest price, Cartnorm hides the strikethrough, the sale badge and the notice for that product.
Country rules
Which member state’s rules to follow. Automatic uses your store address. See Country rules.
Progressive reductions
- Follow the country rules (default).
- Never: each further reduction gets a new reference price.
- Always: one uninterrupted campaign keeps the reference of its first reduction.
When history is too short
What to use while a product has less history than the look-back period: the regular price (default), the lowest price recorded so far, or nothing.
Look-back period (days)
30 by default. It cannot be set below 30.
Custom text
Leave empty to use the translated default text. Use {price} for the price and {days} for the number of days. In Poland, keep the regulator’s wording: Najniższa cena z 30 dni przed obniżką.
Keep history for (days)
730 by default. Older changes are removed automatically by a daily background task. The price needed for the current calculation is always kept, and a product that is on sale right now is never pruned.
Exempting a product
In the product editor, on the General tab next to the prices, tick Omnibus exemption, for example for perishable goods reduced because they are about to expire, where your country’s law allows it.
